State police at Fern Ridge are investigating an attempted burglary at a Carbon County residence.

Troopers said the incident occurred at 575 Engle Lane, in Penn Forest Streams, Jim Thorpe, Penn Forest Township. Unknown criminals attempted to enter the residence of Marietta Padilla about 8 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7, but fled the scene.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 646-2271.
