In August, preparations were already underway for the recognition ceremony of Silberline Manufacturing Company's 65th Anniversary in September.

Part of the ceremony would include a surprise gift presentation to Scheller family members, honored guests and employees from the Hometown, Lansford and Tidewood local facilities.The gift, a prismatic pyramid, symbolizing Silberline's role as "The Architects of Light" would also be shipped to Silberline's global locations. 1,000 boxes were to contain a printed personal note card from Lisa Jane Scheller, President and CEO and her father, Ernest Scheller, Jr.So, on August 25, 14 members of the Tamaqua Salvation Army Needlebug group visited Silberline corporate headquarters in Hometown to help with this special project.
