State police at Lehighton reported on an attempted burglary, several theft and criminal mischief incidents.

The attempted break-in occurred at the residence of Robert Michael Olsen, 55, of 47 Chestnut Rd., Eldo Lakes, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County. Unknown criminals attempted to enter the home by cutting a bathroom window screen. They failed to gain entry, however, troopers said. The incident occurred overnight of Sept. 4-5.A theft at 41 ShadBlue Lane, Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, is being probed. Russell E. Eckhart Jr., 54, of Lehighton, reported someone stole a Craftsman 5HP air compressor and Stihl hedge trimmer from the above residence. The theft occurred sometime beween Aug. 15 and Sept. 7.A retail theft incident is under investigation and occurred at the Sunoco service station located at 7435 Interchange Rd., in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. A white female pumped $20.26 worth of gasoline and then fled without paying for it. The woman had blond hair, about five-feet, three-inches tall and 130 pounds driving a black in color Mitsubishi sports utility vehicle with Delaware plates. The incident occurred about 7:16 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12.Robert D. Achterman, 45, of Saylorsburg, Ross Township, Monroe County, reported someone removed medicine and vitamins that were in his mailbox located at the intersection of Hawk Rd. and Golden Eagle Drive. The theft occurred sometime between Saturday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. and Sunday at 7 a.m.Kenneth C. Pillar, 62, of Saylorsburg, Ross Township, reported his state registration plate YGW-7064, was stolen sometime on Sept. 9.Steven James Warhurst, 56, of 340 Covered Bridge Rd., Kunkletown, Lower Towamensing Township, reported his unlocked garage was entered and removed was several tools such as finish guns, jointers and saws. The incident occurred sometime between Sept. 6-10.Raymond Leroy Adams, 77, of Newark, Del., reported his camper was entered while parked at Beltzville State Park parking area in Towamensing Township, and removed was food, a solar panel and battery. The incident occurred sometime between 3 and 4 p.m. on July 3. Value of the missing items was estimated at $100.Rhonda J. Beers, 44, of 40 Jason Lane, Kunkletown, Polk Township, reported someone put what appears to be ketchup and flour in her mailbox and on her 1998 Volkeswagen Beetle. The incident occurred sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11, and noon on Sunday.Jacqueline Oberlander, 2963 Hemlock St., Lower Towamensing Township, reported someone smashed her mailbox with an unknown type object. The incident occurred sometime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sept. 8.Donald Lilly, 79, of 681 Pine St., Bowmanstown, reported someone used a paint marker to paint on the windshiled and windows of his vehicle.
