Pocono arrests

Pocono Mountain Regional police reported the arrest of two wanted persons.

Officeres obtained an arrest warrant for Jaqual Weatherington, 23, of Tobyhanna, for driving under the influence (DUI) and possession of marijuana for incident that occurred on May 31, 2009.State police at Bethlehem stopped Weatherington for speeding on Saturday, Sept. 4, about 2:20 a.m. Pocono officers went to Bethlehem to take custody of Weatherington on the initial DUI warrant. In taking him into custody police found marijuana on him.Weatherington was charged with a new count of possession of marijuana and was remanded to the county prison in Snydersville on the May 2009 warrant.On Monday, Sept. 6, about 7:40 p.m. while investigating another incident along Summer Road in Mt. Pocono police were approached by a neighbor who advised them a male was running through the backyards of houses along the street.Moments later police observed the man and gave commands for him to stop. A chase ensued and he was caught. The man was identified as Eric Tyrone Lundy, of Tobyhanna. A license check revealed Lundy was wanted for a probation violation by Monroe authorities. He was taken into custody and lodged in the county prison.
