An arbritation board declared there was a breach of contract and awarded a Tamaqua company damages after a hearing held at the Schuylkill County courthouse in Pottsville.

Grouse Hunt Farms Inc., 458 Fairview Street, Tamaqua R.D., brought a civil action against Mark Azemar, doing business as G&H International Traders, Boyertown, Berks County, claiming a breach of contract.The parties over the past 30 years had enjoyed a distributor relationship with G&H picking up Grouse Hunt's products to deliver to supermarkets and other buyers. The incident was reported to have happened in April 2009.Grouse claimed G&H accepted purchase order from Grouse and arranged deliveries to other merchants and claimed G&H failed to pay the bill owed. The arbitration board awarded damages of $15,264.93. It also ruled no damages in G&H countersuit.Pay for damageIn the civil action brought by State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, Bloomington, Ill., on behalf of Mary Harach, against Faith A. Herring, 202 Cherry St., Mount Carmel, the arbitration board awarded damages of $8,466.08.The suit arose from an accident on Aug. 22, 2009, when Mary Harach's vehicle, while parked by a home at 108 E. Main St., Girardville, was struck by a vehicle claimed driven by Herring.Pay rent dueIn the civil suit brought by Ondigon, LLC, Parkville, Md., versus Marjorie Tassone, 1201 Walnut St., Ashland, an arbitration board ruled Tassone owed $5,700 in rent on the apartment at 1201 Walnut Street.Escort servicesClover Leaf Escorts, 1715 W. Market St., Pottsville, brought suit against C&J Services Inc., Quakertown, Bucks County, for an outstanding bill for escort services provided to C&J's oversized trucks on the highway. A board of arbritation awarded Escorts $10,469.45. C&J questioned the amount owed.
