Plenty of entertainment at Carbon County Fair

The 11th annual Carbon County Fair, staged along Little Gap Road just east of Palmerton, concludes its annual run on Sunday.

There's a lot of entertainment scheduled tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday. The entertainment is free with the cost of fair admission.FridayLast year, Elvis impersonator Elvis Presley attracted the largest crowd ever at the fair.He's back and with the forecast for pleasant weather, it's a sure bet there will be a great crowd again to see him.Pelton has appeared with Celine Dion on American Idol performing a duet of "If I Can Dream." In addition, Ryan play's the role of Elvis in the current Dakota Fanning film, Hound Dog.Pelton's performances are at 7 and 9 p.m.Opening for him at 5 p.m. is the unpredictable Layne "The Doc" Roberts from Penn's Peak Radio.SaturdayCountry music fans get a full menu of great music tomorrow at the Carbon County Fair.The Cramer Brothers from Kresgeville, veterans of the music genre, will be on the main stage at 4 and 7 p.m.Also tomorrow night will be Nashville recording star Wilson Fairchild. Opening for him will be the incomparable Donna Parsons of Palmerton, who has had songs on the national country charts.Wilson and Fairchild Reid are sons of Harold and Don Reid, respectively, from the world reknowned Statler Brothers quartet.SundayOn Sunday, music from banjos will emit from the main stage as the blue grass band Santara Winds performs.Then Sunday night, the show band Uptown does concerts at 7 and 9 p.m.In between, 11-year-old singing sensation Eva will be displaying her singing ability for the fair audience.The fair opens daily at 3 p.m.
