Divorces granted

Heather J. Marks, Cressona, was granted a divorce from Frederick J. Marks, Minersville. They were married Dec. 4, 1999.SentencedChristopher Paul Achenbach, 29, Saint Clair, was sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell to serve 11 1/2 to 23 months in the county prison followed by three years on probation. He had been found guilty by a jury of charges of carrying a firearm without a license, criminal conspiracy and possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia. He received credit for 45 days in prison.Achenbach was cited by Patrolman Brian Pyle, Branch/Reilly Township police when stopped on the Pottsville-Minersvile Highway on Feb. 12, 2009, and had in his possession a loaded 45 caliber pistol. He also must pay court costs, pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account fund, a $50 monthly supervision and perform 50 hours of community service.Found guiltyThomas David Hillibush, 41, Mahanoy City, was found guilty by a jury of charges of burglary, forgery, criminal tresspass, theft of a credit card, tampering with evidence and receiving stolen property. Sentence was deferred to a later date and a presentence investigatve report was requested by Judge Jacqueline Russell. He was charged with theft to af a wallet from the purse of Nancy Boyle, Mahanoy City, last August and used her credit card.Contempt hearingJudge John E. Domalakes held hearings on three men who were charged with indirect criminal contempt for failing to abide the conditions of a Protection from Abuse (PFA) order.Mark Schlauch, 20, Zion Grove, North Union Township, and Justin M. Reifsnyder, 30, Hummelsburg, were each fined $300 plus costs of prosecution. The charge against Kelly Halford, 33, Minersville, was dismissed because the victim refused to testify.Store burglaryDale Allen Schaeffer, 27, of Norristown, pleaded guilty to burglary of the New Ringgold Market, Hugh's St., New Ringgold, last July, and was sentenced by Judge Jacqueline Russell to serve one to 23 months in the county prison.He was also ordered to pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Fund, pay a $50 per month supervision fee and perform 20 hours of community service. He also must make restitution of $2,260 to the store and Sher Thind, of Westbury, N.Y., its owner.On addtiional charges of criminal conspiracy and theft he was placed on probation for 12 months running concurrent ot the burglary sentence. He must perform an additional 40 hours of community service. Also he is not to have any contact with the store. Schaeffer was cited by Trooper James Cuttitta.
