A Tamaqua man was one of eight who entered guilty pleas to criminal charges Monday in Schuylkill County Court and were sentenced by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin.

Larry Lon Wagner, 30, of 300 1/2 Arlington St., pleaded guilty to assault and drug charges. On a charge of simple assault on Justine Garcia, Mahanoy City, was given credit for serving four days in the county prison and released on probation for 18 months and pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account (CJEA) fund. On two counts of recklessly endangering another person he drew 12 month probation to run concurrent with the assault charge. Wagner was cited by Sgt. John Kaczmarcczy, Mahanoy City police.Wagner also entered a guilty plea to a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia and was placed on probation for 12 months to run concurrent with the assault sentence, pay $100 to Substance Abuse Education (SAE) fund and $50 to CJEA fund. Wagner was cited by Patrolman Karl Harig, Tamaqua police. He pleaded guilty to possession of a small amount of marijuana on a charge brought by Patrolman George Parnell, Mahanoy City police, and was given credit for one day in prison and placed on probation for 30 days to run concurrent with the other sentences, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund and make restitution of $100 to the districte attorney's office.David Joseph Hentz, 61, Hegins, on a charge of criminal trespass on private property in the village of Valley View was given credit for 86 days spent in the county prison and was released on probation for 18 months, and ordered to pay $50 to CJEA fund. On a charge of disorderly conduct he received a concurrent 12 months probation sentence. Hentz was cited by Sgt. Beau Yarmush, Hegins Township police.Timothy Earl Hostetter, 23, Auburn, on a charge of harassment was given credit for serving two days in the county prison and was released on probation for 12 months and pay $50 to CJEA fund. He was cited by Chief Anthony Kuklinski, Auburn police.Michael Harig, 33, Port Carbon, who entered a guilty plea last Sept. 3 was sentenced on a charge of possession with intent to delivery a controlled substance and was placed in the Immediate Punishment Program (IPP) for 24 months with a minimum of seven months be served in a state correctional institution of which not less than four months must be spent in a institutional therapeutic community, serve two months in a community-based therapeutic community, a minimum of six months in treatment through an outpatient treatment facility and the balance of his sentence be supervised for reintegration into the community. Harig pleaded guilty to charges of possession and delivery of drugs in the Schuylkill Haven area. He was cited by Patrolman Gregory S. Meisner, Schuylkill Haven police.Jason J. Ruskuski, 29, Shenandoah, pleaded guilty to two counts each of delivery of a controlled substance possession of a controlled substance and theft from homes on Eleanor Drive, West Mahanoy Township. He also pleaded to two counts of receiving stolen property, criminal conspiracy and theft by deception. Charges were filed by Shenandoah and West Mahanoy Township police. The court ordered a presentence investigative report prepared by the adult probation department and deferred sentence to March 19.Tawnya J. Bowman, 33, Hegins, on a charge of possession drug paraphernalia was placed on probation 12 months pay $100 to the SAE fund and $50 to CJEA fund. On a charge of possession a small amount of marijuana was placed on a concurrent sentence for 30 days. Bowman was cited by the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force.Amanda Renee Chadwell, 23, Mahanoy City, on a charge of simple assault was placed on probation 18 months, pay $50 to CJEA fund and submit to drug and alcohol counseling. On a charge of recklessly endangering another person was given a 12 months concurrent probation sentence. Chadwell was cited by Patrolman George Parnell, Mahanoy City police.John Samuel Schrope, 30, an inmate at the state correctional institution at Bellefonte, on a charge of delivery of a controlled substance in Shenandoah in October 2008 was sentenced to serve one to two years in the institution he is now confined, pay a fine of $100, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund, $100 to the Schuylkill County Drug Task Force and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab.On charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia he received on each charge concurrent 12 months probation sentences. On a charge of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia in West Mahanoy Township in March 2008 received a concurrent 12 months probation sentence, pay $100 to SAE fund, $50 to CJEA fund and $113 to Bethlehem Regional Lab.Each defendant must pay all court costs and a $50 per month supervision fee while on probation or parole.
