Carbon County students planning on attending college who are looking for answers about paying for higher education can get the help they need at state Rep. Keith McCall's Free Application for Federal Student Aid workshop being held Saturday, Feb. 27, in Nesquehoning.

Experts will be on hand to help students and families complete the 2010-11 Free Applicaton for Federal Student Aid form. This single application is used to determine eligibility for almost all types of federal, state and college-based financial aid for current and prospective students.The workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon at the Lehigh Carbon Community College's Carbon Center, 24 Locust St., Nesquehoning."When it comes to a student's college career, finding out about what financial aid is available is vital - in some cases financial aid determines what college a student can attend, and a student can't get any kind of college financial aid without submitting a FAFSA form," McCall said. "The deadline for submitting the application is coming up fast, but there's no need to worry.
