A father and son have been charged after they allegedly stole items from a Summit Hill establishment.

According to borough police, on Sept. 2, Mark Bauder Jr. 18, of 306 W. Kline Ave., Lansford, removed some items from the Switchback Mini Market. Officers used the store's security tapes to confirm that it was Bauder who removed the items.

He was charged with retail theft.

On that same day, Bauder's father, Mark Bauder Sr., also of 306 W. Kline Ave., took a patron's wallet.

According to police, there was a patron at the market who had put down his wallet on the counter when he went to get an item. Bauder observed the wallet on the counter and took it.

He was charged with theft by lawful taking.
