Subway Santa

Due to last week's inclement weather, the Tamaqua Subway's Brunch With Santa scheduled for last Sunday has been rescheduled. The event will now be held Dec. 19, from 10 a. m. to 2 p.m. Santa will have a free gift for children under the age of 12.St. John UCCThe Rev. Kevin Duffy-Guy will officiate at the 9:30 a.m. service this Sunday in St. John United Church of Christ. A Christmas Cantata will be presented during the service. The service will be followed by a time of fellowship. The weekly service will be broadcast on radio station WLSH, 1410 AM, at 11:30 a.m.Christmas Eve services will be held at 4 p.m., including a Quiet Communion, and at 7:30 and 10 p.m.Calvary MethodistThe Rev. Brian Reading will officiate at the 10:25 a.m. service this Sunday in Calvary Evangelical United Methodist Church in the Lewistown Valley. The service will include the lighting of the Advent Candle.Also Sunday, the Calvary Church Christmas Carolers will leave the church parking lot at 4 p.m. Anyone who wishes to sing-a-long should be at the lot before the departure time.An evening prayer and share service is held Wednesdays at 7 p.m.Trinity UCCThe Rev. Dr. David Grant will officiate at the 10 a.m. worship service this Sunday in Trinity United Church of Christ. The service will include the lighting of the Fourth Advent Candle and words for young Christians. Nursery care is available during the service.
