State police at Fern Ridge reported investigating a one-vehicle crash in Monroe County. Troopers said the crash occurred about 6:02 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, along SR715, in Chestnuthill Township.

Troopers said Casey D. Hinton, 17, of Saylorsburg, was driving a 2000 Volkswagen Jetta southbound when he lost control going onto the berm. He attempted to regain control, moved from right to left crossing both lanes of travel and off onto the berm again, then down a slight embankment and striking a large boulder.After impact with the boulder the car continued about seven feet spinning clockwise striking a tree with the driver side rear end coming to a final stop.Hinton was not injured. He was cited for roadways laned for traffic, troopers said.
