Break-ins probed

State police at Lehighton reported investigating two burglaries.

Troopers said the home of Anna Kazmierczak, 57, of 14 Pine Tree Lane, Kunkletown, Polk Township, Monroe County, was entered sometime between Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. and Oct. 31, at 6 a.m. Taken from the home was a Sony 46-inch television, Dell laptop computer, various tools, John Deer push mower, three piece set of leather luggage, a female winter clothing, Kenmore vaccum, Singer sewing machine, two winter truck tires, various linen, a comforter, pillows, an antique clock, two garbage cans and a tool box. No estimated value was given.

The second entry occurred along SR903, in Penn Forest Township, Carbon County, at a residence owned by Annette Esparra, 41, of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. Sometime between Oct. 23 and 30 the home was entered when a basement door was kicked in. Once inside the criminals removed copper pipes and a copper drain, all from the basement. The intruders then went upstairs to a bathroom and removed copper piping from that area. About 20-30 feet of copper pipe was removed from the home with an estimated value ot $400.
