Blue Mountain Health System and Palmerton Lions Club will co-sponsor a community health fair from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, June 8, at the Palmerton Hospital cafeteria, Lafayette Avenue, Palmerton.

The Health Fair will include several health assessments, health screenings, chair massages, and opportunity to meet with representatives from the Blue Mountain Health System and agencies from Carbon County and surrounding communities.Information and education on a variety of health-related topics and services will be available. There will be compliments of area businesses and the opportunity to win several gift certificates/door prizes (one awarded every half-hour).This health fair is open to all ages and there is no charge to participate.A light lunch will be available.Community members are encouraged to donate their used eyeglasses or hearing aids during this event. A box will be available to place them in at the registration table. Advance registration is required to have an EKG performed and an appointment can be made by calling (610) 377-7070.
