Please note the earlier starting time. This visit is sponsored by Janet Snyder and Louise Calvin.

In addition to our faithful regular donors, the group always need new donors. That is particularly true this winter, with so many people having had the flu. Miller's advice is not to donate until all symptoms have ended for at least two weeks. A recent flu inoculation is not a problem. Anyone in general good health, at least 17 years old, weighing a minimum of 110 pounds, is eligible. First-time donors should bring photo ID, such as a driver's license. Previous Miller donors are reminded to bring their Miller cards.

They expect to have Trima machines available at each 2013 Palmerton blood drive. Previous Trima donors are asked to contact George Ashman at (610) 826-2097 to make an appointment.

Miller-Keystone is the sole supplier of blood and blood products to all hospitals in this area. One blood donation can save up to three lives.
