Nelda Weston Reinart, currently residing at Heritage Hill Senior Community in Weatherly, is celebrating her 90th birthday. Nelda was born in Tamaqua on Dec. 18, 1923. She graduated from Tamaqua High School in 1941, where she was a member of the Bugle Corp.
She lived at home on Cottage Avenue when she started working for Atlas Powder Company in 1942, which later became ICI America. She worked there until her retirement in 1987. After marrying in 1951, she moved to Jim Thorpe in 1954, where she and her husband raised their five children, enjoying camping, fishing, and hunting with her family.
Nelda is an artist and loves to paint, enjoys crafting, telling a good joke, and spending time with her many family members. In addition to her five children, she has 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
