Jason Cuff, 28, of Throop, is facing multiple charges as a result of a near headon crash at 4:15 p.m. Dec. 14 in Cressona Borough.

Police said he was driving a Ford Fusion northbound on State Route 183 when it was involved in a collision with a Honda Accord driven by Joan M.Koslosky, 65, of Cressopna, near the south side of the underpass on the roadway. Police said Cuff fled the scene and was later located in the area of Grove Street in the borough. Police credited the Cressona Fire Company members with rendering them assistance to identify Cuff.Police said they observed signs of the man being intoxicated and also found several open containers of beer inside the vehicle. Cuff was taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-South, Pottsville, for chemical testing.Police said he is facing charges of friving under the influence of alcohol and fleeing or attempting to elude poice.Police said both vehicles sustained moderate front end damages.
