The Rundown – Lehigh Valley missed an opportunity to retake the lead in the IL North as the bullpen blows the lead and the game late.
IronPig pitching – Tom Cochran started and left the game in the fifth inning with a 5-3 lead. He gave up three runs, 2 earned, on four hits. J.C. Ramirez and Justin De Fratus pitched three scoreless to get to the closer Phillippe Aumont. Aumont blew his third save of the season by giving up two runs on two hits with three killer walks. Jake Diekman gave up a SAC fly in the bottom of the tenth to take the loss.

Notes – Lehigh Valley now falls a game and a half back from Pawtucket ….The IronPigs chased Pawtucket starter Daisuke Matsuzaka from the game after three innings. Matsuzaka is the Japanese pitcher the Red Sox paid $51 million just to negotiate a contract with him. The righty has spent much of the past three year rehabbing and pitching poorly...The Phillies have not announced their Wednesday starting pitcher. There is hopes that Tyler Cloyd, who is scheduled to pitch for the IronPigs, will take that slot for his Major League Debut.

On Deck – Scott Elarton (5-8, 5.06) takes on Pawtucket's Zach Stewart (2-2, 3.76) in game four of this four game series.
