A Carbon County teen was cited for underage drinking.

State police at Lehighton said Michael John Hickey, 19, of Jim Thorpe, was cited about 6:42 p.m. on Sunday, March 11. Troopers stopped a vehicle along W. Sixth Street, in Jim Thorpe, for a traffic violation.Hickey was a passenger in the vehicle and found to have consumed alcoholic beverages.
