The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers' Philadelphia District announced there is sufficient reservoir storage at the Francis E. Walter Dam to schedule the final planned whitewater release of the season, for Friday, Sept. 16.

The release will be a large whitewater event with a flow of 4000 cubic feet per second.This recreation season, the Army Corps of Engineers has made all 24 of its planned whitewater releases and numerous fisheries enhancements from the Francis E.
