State police at Lehighton reported investigating three crashes recently.
A one vehicle crash occurred about 1:38 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, along Drift Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, Carbon County. Troopers said Justin F. Bernhard, 20, of Palmerton, was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound when the car went onto the berm and struck a shed. Bernhard suffered a minor injury and was transported to the Palmerton Hospital by Palmerton ambulance, troopers said.
He was cited for driving on roadways laned for traffic.
Troopers investigated a three vehicle crash about 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, along Anchorage Road, in Ross Township, Monroe County. Troopers said George Hummer, 71, of Saylorsburg, was stopped in a 2007 Ford Explorer at a stop sign at the intersection with SR115 facing east while Sandra Y. Roschbach, 38, of Stroudsburg, was stopped on the opposite side facing west driving a 2010 Toyota RAV4. Richard G. Cullin, 60, of East Stroudsburg, was northbound on 115.
Troopers said Hummer failed yield the right-of-way and pulled into the path of Cullin. The front of Cullin's 2004 Hyundai Accent struck the passenger side of the Explorer. Hummer traveled through the intersection and his Explorer struck the driver's side of Roschbach's Rav4.
Cullin suffered a minor injury but did not require immediate medical attention while the other two drivers were not injured.
Troopers cited Hummer for stop sign violation.
A two vehicle crash occurred about 2:25 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, along Gilbert Road at Mountain View Drive, in Polk Township, Monroe County. Troopers said James E. Groller, 59, of Danielsville, was driving a 2010 Jeep Compass eastbound on Mountain View while Julie T. Lunney, 16, of Saylorsburg, was operating a 2001 Lexus RX300 southbound on Gilbert Road.
Groller stopped in Lunney's lane of travel causing the crash, troopers said. The front of the Jeep struck the passenger side front of the Lexus. No one was injured.
Troopers cited Groller for stop sign violation.
