Thursday night at the Kidder Township board of supervisors meeting, the board said farewell to a long time board member. Kevin Nally will finish his term which expires at the end of the month.

Nally has served on the board of supervisors for over 14 years. Nally was chairman of the board for four years, the police chairman for three years, the road master for two years and also a regular board member in his time with the board of supervisors.

He started on the board in 1993 and served until the end of 2004 when he did not seek reelection. In 2007 a member of the board passed away and it was up to the board to seek a replacement to serve out his term. The board turned to Nally who accepted the position. After that term was up he was elected to another term of two years which will expire at the end of the 2009.

Even when Nally was not on the board he was in attendance at the board meetings. Nally has always felt it was his civic duty to help out his community and do what he could to improve the township. After his term is over he still plans to attend the meetings and be active in the township.
