Four Schuylkill County businesses were cited by the Allentown enforcement office of the state liquor control board.

Joan O. Mammarella, trading as The Village Inn, 101 W. Centre St., Mahanoy City, was cited for loud music.

The alleged violation occurred on Aug. 14, 2011.

Lorisa K. Feltner, 43, of Carlisle, was injured in a one-vehicle crash at 4:33 p.m. Jan. 17 along Interstate 81 in Butler Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville barracks said the severity of her injuries is unknown at this time. She was transported to the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, by the Frackville EMS.

Police said she was driving a 2001 Freightliner southbound when it traveled to the right off of the travel lanes of the interstate and entered the shoulder area of the road, making impact with the guard rail.

A Freeland woman is facing retail theft charges after allegedly removing merchandise valued at $211.33 from the Hometown Commons Wal Mart on Jan. 14.

Tiffany A. Hasara, 26, also faces charges of receiving stolen property in connection with the incident, which was captured on the store's video surveillance.

Two placements at a juvenile camp in Penn Forest Township, fled the facility but were later caught.

State police at Lehighton said Louis Santana, 18, of Wilkes-Barre, and a male juvenile from Kingston, left Camp Adams on Sunday, Jan. 15, about 4:30 p.m. without permission. They were later found near the Alpine Bakery in the township and returned to the camp. The camp is a Youth Services facility used by county courts in the commonwealth for juveniles who have been adjudicated delinquent on criminal charges.

The two will be charged with escape, troopers added.

State police at the Frackville barracks are investigating a burglary that happened between 5:30 p.m. Jan. 16 and 7:15 a.m. Jan. 17 at a business in Blythe Township.

Police said the breakin occurred at Guers Topsoil and Mulch, 110 N. Valley St., New Philadelphia.

Police said someone used force entry to gain access to the business through a side window and proceeded to steal an undetermined amount of cash.

A traffic stop in Tamaqua led to drug charges for an Allentown man on Saturday, Jan. 14.

Officer Peter Wysochansky was on patrol in the area of High Street, near the Lehigh Carbon Community College campus, when he observed a green Dodge Stratus with a malfunctioning brake light. The officer stopped the vehicle with the intention of issuing a warning, but discovered the driver had a suspended license.

Criminal charges were filed against Trisha Wolbach, 41, of 236 N. Second St., Lehighton, for driving under the influence (DUI). The incident occurred on Nov. 19 at 9:18 p.m. in the 500 block of Mauch Chunk Road.

Public drunkenness

Criminal charges were filed against Frank Slanina III, 58, of 2442 Princess Lane Southeast, Marietta, Ga., for persistent disorderly conduct, criminal mischief, injuring or tampering with fire apparatus, hydrants, etc., and public drunkenness. The incident occurred on Jan. 11 at 12:21 a.m. in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue.Speeding

David B. Driscoll, 40, of Effort, has been arrested by Pocono Mountain Regional Police on drug-related charges.

They relate to an incident at 12:49 a.m. Jan. 17 in the beach parking lot of the Stone Crest Community, Tunkhannock Township.

Police said they observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot on the above date and time and made contact with Driscoll, the operator of the vehicle, observing a metal pipe containing marijuana. He was found to be in possession of a baggie containing a small amount of marijuana and two additional pipes.

State police at the Schuylkill Haven barracks arrested Corinne Nicole McClure, 32, of Middleport, on a charge of retail theft after she was caught shoplifting on Jan. 15 at the Redner's Warehouse Market, Schuylkill Haven.

Police said the incident happened at 6:47 p.m. when she attempted to pass through the checkout line at the store with $63.48 worth of merchandise that she had concealed under a coat in a shopping cart.

A Carbon County driver was cited for driving under the influence (DUI) following a one vehicle crash that occurred about 11:05 p.m. on Jan. 10.

State police at Lehighton said the crash occurred in the area of 219 White St., Weissport, involving a vehicle operated by Tara Jo Hauser, 27, of Lehighton. Troopers listed the property damage victim as Stephen Edwin Thompson, 49, of Weissport.

Hauser was arrested for DUI as a result of an investigation into the crash, troopers said.
