The Harakal Family Reunion will begin at 11 a.m. Aug. 15 at the New Ringgold Fire Company Grove.

It will included an old-fashioned picnic. Bring a covered dish to share and your own alcohol.

There will be a family meeting at noon, followed by children's games, raffles, and cake and booze walks.

Palmerton Area High School Class of 1985 is holding its 30-year class reunion from 6 to 11 p.m. Oct. 10 at the Sokol Hall in Palmerton.

Tickets are $30, which includes dinner, beer, beverages, and entertainment. Bring your own bottle.

Olivia Rebert-Blake and Daniel Blake

Olivia Rebert of Glenville, daughter of Holly Seymore and Brian Seymore of Spring Grove, and Steven Rebert of Hanover, and Daniel Blake, also of Glenville, son of Judith and Gary Blake of Summit Hill, were united in marriage on April 11, 2015, in Gettysburg.

The Rev. Judith Gausch officiated the double ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her father, Steven Rebert, the bride chose Emily Rebert to be her matron of honor.

Her attendants included Kimberly Price, bridesmaid, and Benjamin Long, bridesman.

The bridegroom chose Patrick Blake as his best man.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clewell Sr.

Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clewell Sr. of Lansford, recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on July 30, 1955, at St. Ann's in Lansford, with the Rev. Raymond Teller officiating.

Mrs. Clewell is the former Dina Totani, daughter of the late Egidio and Pasquarosa Totani of Lansford.

Her husband is the son of the late Elmer and Anna Clewell of Jim Thorpe.

Brandon Anthony and Danielle Steele

The engagement of Danielle L. Steele and Brandon Anthony has been announced by their parents.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Denise Ackles of Barnesville and Paul Steele of Tamaqua.

She is a 2003 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and is employed at the Slatington Post Office.

The prospective bridegroom is the son of Richard and Sue Anthony of Lehighton.

He is a 2008 graduate of Lehighton Area High School and is employed by RFM Services.

They plan to marry on Oct. 3 of this year.

The 73rd annual Marsh Family Reunion will be held on Aug. 9 at pavilion number 1, Indian Trail Park in Northampton County.

The meal will be served at 12:30 p.m. The business meeting will convene at 1:30.

Prizes will be awarded to the youngest/oldest male and female, farthest traveled, the most recently married couple, longest married couple and the largest family present. There will be a cake walk and bingo. Prize donations are appreciated. There will also be drawings for door prizes.

Walter N. Hill of Tamaqua celebrated his 100th birthday on July 21 surrounded by family and friends, including a new great-grandson. The party was held in the community room at the Tamaqua Majestic House apartments.

Emma Kathryn Ruggery, daughter of Donald Jr. and Kate Ruggery of Duncanville, and Nicholas Allen Deebel, son of Mark and Sue Deebel of Hummelstown, were united in marriage on June 6, 2015, at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church in Hollidaysburg. Monsignor Stanley Carson officiated the service.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

The reception was held at the Heritage Discovery Center in Altoona.

The new Mrs. Deebel is a graduate of Juniata College. She is pursuing her teaching certificate.

The Rev. William F. Spacek, M.Div., BCC, officiated the ceremony. Mary Stanton was the organist.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose Lauren A. Reidy to be her maid of honor.
