Monroe County Conservation District is sponsoring its second annual photo contest, which is open to amateur photographers of all ages. Photographs must display a natural resource of the county in a natural setting. Photos of people/and or pets will not be accepted.

Entries are due to the conservation district, 8050 Running Valley Road, Stroudsburg, PA 18360, Attn: Alesia Gallo, by Sept. 30. Digital copies can be sent to

agmccd@ptd.net. Judging will be performed by Monroe County Conservation District staff. Winners will be notified by Oct. 28.All photographs will be on display in the district's art gallery from Dec. 3 through Jan. 31. An opening reception will take place Dec. 3 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.Twelve winners will be selected and will each receive a free copy of the conservation district's calendar.
