SH police investigate abduction, stabbing

Summit Hill police are investigating an alleged abduction incident that resulted in a stabbing and robbery on Friday night.

Police Chief Joseph Fittos Jr. said the matter is still under investigation.He said the incident was reported to police at 8:21 p.m. when a woman from Tamaqua reported she was kidnapped, robbed and stabbed by two women and a man.The woman told police she was picked up in Tamaqua and driven to East Mountaintop Road in the White Bear section of Summit Hill, where the assault took place.The victim told police her assailants also tried to choke her.Fittos said the assailants "took her money from her and threw her out of the car."The woman notified police, who spotted her on Bugzie's Mountain, where she was treated by an ambulance crew and transported to the St. Luke's Miners Campus in Coaldale, for treatment of the stab wounds.The police chief said police are looking for a green Subaru station wagon bearing the Pennsylvania registration KFV-907. Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the car is asked to contact Summit Hill police at 911.Lansford police assisted Summit Hill officers at the scene.
