State police at Lehighton reported investigating two burglaries.

A break-in occurred at a residence in the 400 block of 57 Drive in Towamensing Township, Carbon County.Someone entered the home and removed several pieces of jewelry and about $800 in cash.The entry occurred sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Thursday.The second break-in occurred at a residenceat Point Phillips Road, in Kunkletown.Entry was made through a bedroom window and basement window. Taken was jewelry, a JC Higgins handgun, and a .22-caliber black revolver with brown grips. The entry occurred sometime between 12:45 and 2:45 p.m. on Thursday.Anyone with information concerning either incident is asked to call troopers at 610-691-1850.
