A 26-year-old Palmerton man is facing charges of driving under the influence of a controlled substance as a result of a traffic stop.

State police at the Lehighton barracks said they stoped the driver for not using his turn signal at 8:57 p.m. Sunday at the intersection of Lime and Railroad streets in Weissport.Police said it was determined the man was under the influence of drugs, after which time he was transported to the Gnaden Huetten Memorial Hospital, Lehighton, for a blood test.
