State police at Schuylkill Haven are investigating an armed robbery at a Schuylkill County business.

Troopers said the incident occurred at the Raceway Truck Stop, located at 10 Molleystown Road in Tremont Township, at 2:36 a.m. on Saturday.According to troopers the suspect approached the front doors of the business with a loaded shotgun and shot one round through the glass door, shattering the glass. The suspect then kicked in the remaining glass and entered the business.Once inside he approached Harmush Singh, 62, of Pine Grove, who was behind the counter, and demanded money. While demanding money the suspect threatened to shoot Singh if he did not cooperate. Once the suspect obtained money he fled through the same door he entered and ran across the parking lot toward Interstate 81.The suspect is described as being a white male, 6 to 6 feet, 3 inches tall, with light brown hair. He was wearing a black mask and a green, red and blue sweatshirt, blue jeans and black sneakers. He was carrying a short shotgun that appeared to have a silver colored barrel.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at 570-739-1330.
