Schuylkill Commissioners approve personnel

Schuylkill County commissioners have approved a number of personnel moves.

Patricia Valedon, Coaldale, was promoted to clerk 3 from clerk typist for the Children and Youth Services agency. She'll be paid $13.54 an hour.At the county nursing home at Rest Haven, Amanda Sterner, Cressona, was hired as a per diem nurses' aid at $13 an hour. Deanna Improta, Pottsville, and Holly Boltz, Hamburg, were hired as part-time nurses' aids at $11.72 an hour each.In the Office of Solid Waste, Kenneth Harrison, Orwigsburg, was hired as a temporary part-time recycling truck driver at $13.37 an hour.In the Office of Senior Services, Sean Reaves, Pottsville, and Karen Wolfe, Butler Township, were hired as Aging Care Managers 2 at $14.36 an hour each.In the election bureau, Marcy Kleckner, Orwigsburg, was hired as a per diem clerk at $10 an hour. Debra Detweiler, Cressona, was hired as a deputy coroner/investigator in the coroner's office on a per-fee schedule.The county salary board approved the promotion of Jennifer Lehman of Wayne Township, from deputy assistant district attorney to senior assistant district attorney. She'll be paid $55,983. The board eliminated the deputy assistant job and created the senior assistant job before approving the promotion.The board also created the position of per diem clerk in the election office. The job will pay $10 an hour.Other departments informed commissioners of their own personnel actions.Adult Probation: Dieter Holman, Barnesville, was appointed to an unpaid intern job.Robert Houston, Saint Clair, was promoted to probation officer II from probation officer aide. He'll earn $24.14 an hour.Rebecca Costa, Ashland, was promoted to probation officer I from probation officer aide. She'll be paid $21.03 an hour.Michael Brennan, Pottsville, was hired as a probation officer aide at $13.21 an hour.Kasey Baldwin, Pottsville, was transferred from fiscal administration assistant in the Juvenile Probation Office to probation officer aide. She'll earn $18.35 an hour.District Attorney's office: Amanda Idacavage, Ringtown, and Amanda Kalenkoski, Shenandoah, were appointed as unpaid interns.Sheriff's office: Joshua Turner, Barnesville; Sierra Salle, Kaska; Andrew Korrubin, Pottsville; and Dylan Smarr, Tamaqua were appointed as unpaid interns.Conservation District: The hours of district agricultural program coordinator Andrea Geist, Hegins, were increased. She earns $29,944 annually, and that will not change. She was hired full-time at 35 hours a week until she graduated this month, and her hours increased to 40 per week.Kaitlin McDonald, New Philadelphia, and Megan McLaughlin, Wayne Township, were appointed as unpaid interns.Rest Haven: Juliana Sansone, Pottsville, resigned from her job as a part-time nurses' aide trainee, which paid $7.70 an hour.911/Communications: Michael Bowman, McAdoo, resigned from his job as telecommunicator 3 trainee, which paid $11.97 an hour.Emergency Management: Kody Rittenbaugh, Frailey Township, was appointed an unpaid intern.Public Defender's office: Nicole Kennedy, Schuylkill Haven, was hired as a per diem investigator at $16 an hour.Mari Andraccio, Hamburg; Caitlin Harley, North Manheim Township; Crystle Craig, Pottsville; and Ashley Machamer, Lykins, were appointed as unpaid interns.Domestic Relations: Eugene Tray, Wayne Township, resigned from his job as enforcement officer I, which paid $22.75 an hour.Coroner's office: Edward Bartlett, Pottsville, resigned from his job as deputy coroner investigator, which was paid per fee schedule.
