Like a disgraced politician who refuses to quit, winter is hanging on until the last moment.

Spring officially begins a week from today.

Between now and then, we have potential for two snowfalls.

In both cases, forecasters are telling us that it's too early to know precipitation totals.

The first could whack us Sunday night into Monday.

The second could happen late Wednesday through Thursday.

The National Weather Service's meteorological team said, "At this stage in the game, confidence is increasing of a coastal low affecting the region late Sunday night through a better portion of Monday. The signals are there for it. Specifics about (precipitation) and accumulation amounts still need to be ironed out."

North of Philadelphia, precipitation could be all snow.

It's too early for predictions Wednesday except to say that there is a chance of foul weather.

If Old Man Winter was a politician, most of us would be happy to vote him out of office.
