Milk tanker slams Pa. building, killing driver

CARLISLE (AP) - Police say a tanker truck carrying 50,000 pounds of milk careened off a Pennsylvania interstate and crashed into a pain management clinic, killing the driver.

Police say the tanker plowed through Carlisle Regional Imaging Services and Pain Management Clinic in South Middleton Township around 11 p.m. Monday. They did not release the driver's name.Police say the tanker stopped against an MRI machine whose powerful magnet sucked up firefighters' metal tools, complicating their response.Officials said they were also concerned about the building's stability. The tanker was traveling northbound along Interstate 81. It left the roadway between the College Street and Plainfield exits and overturned before hitting the building.
