Residents and staff members of the Lehighton High Rise spent Thursday welcoming summer during the building's annual summer safety program.

The day included an educational session by Blue Mountain Health System's nutrition department, featuring a short talk on the importance of hydration during the summer; a lunchtime pig roast, hosted by Frank Kattner; and entertainment by Nite Flyte.The program was the effort of the entire building, with staff members in many departments assisting throughout the day.
