The swearing-in of Carbon County officials occurred this morning in Carbon County Court. Republican commissioners Wayne Nothstein, second from left, and Thomas Gerhard, second from right, take oath while looking on is Nothstein's wife, Donna, and Gerhard's father, Thomas. The elder Gerhard is a former commissioner. Democrat-elected commission Charles Getz was not present, announcing his resignation last week. An appointment of a Democrat is expected to be made later today.
