The camp is held at Penn State Hazleton Campus and will run July 24 through 29.

This week long camp is designed to give young people a better understanding of law enforcement activities in an atmosphere of an actual state police training school. Once accepted, the cadets will reside at the camp for six days under the direct supervision of state and local police officers.

During this time they will receive instruction on various police functions by representatives from the state police, FBI, Secret Service, the state Game Commission, Medevac, Luzerne County K-9, and many others. This is an once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Approximately 100 youths will be selected. The camp itself is free of charge however there is an administrative fee for those individuals that are selected to attend camp.

The Troop N Camp Cadet program is funded through donations solicited by the Camp Cadet board of directors. Money is also raised with a golf tournament that is scheduled in August of every year.
