Carbon United captured the Lehigh Valley Youth Soccer League Girls U14 championship this year. The team, comprised of youths for the Lehighton, Jim Thorpe, Palmerton and Panther Valley school districts, compiled a 6-1-1 record to edge out Keystone Athletic for the title. This is the second straight championship for the Carbon United U14 team, which tied for the league crown last season. Team members include, front row, from left, Sarah Moyer, Cassidy Ryan, Ilse Hassler, Camilli Principe, Meghann Principe and Kaylie Haskins. Second row, head coach Mike Principe, Shaelyn Heft, Taylor Herlihy, Allison Amodea, Allysa Smith, Monica Wood, Emma Macaluso, Kendra Pekurny, assistant coach Jimmy Macaluso and assistant coach Mary Wood.
