A Northampton County woman was seriously injured Thursday afternoon when involved in a violent crash along Blue Mountain Drive in Lehigh Township. The crash occurred just after noon when Ashley Marie Muschlitz, 19, of Danielsville, lost control of her car on the wet roadway. The vehicle went onto the berm and impacted with a utility pole on the driver's side. The vehicle wrapped around the pole. Muschlitz, who was trapped in the vehicle and freed by rescue personnel, was flown by PennStar helicopter to St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill. The crash occurred about a quarter mile north of SR248. The roadway was closed for several hours.Township police were assisted at the scene by volunteers from the Lehigh Township and Walnutport fire companies and township fire police.
