A Carbon County man is dead as the result of a violent one car crash Friday in Weatherly.

Weatherly police are investigating a one car fatal crash that occurred at around 8:12 a.m. at West Main at Veterans Lane.Ernest M. Massar III, 21, of Tresckow, was traveling south on West Main St., when he crossed the oncoming lane of traffic and the vehicle then impacted a stone wall.Massar was pronounced dead at the scene by the Carbon County Coroners office. Assisting Weatherly Police at the scene were the Weatherly Fire Dept., Weatherly EMS and APTS.Weatherly police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the accident to call the police department at 570-427-4241.
