Nesquehoing citations issued

Nesquehoning police reported on citations issued by officers recently.

Officer Carl Breiner filed a juvenile petition against a 16-year-old male from Hazleton for an incident on March 6 about 4:07 a.m. on W. Diaz Ave.Charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and disorderly conduct were filed with county juvenile authorities.Officer Breiner also filed three traffic citations against Matthew Galgoci, 544 E. Railroad St., Nesquehoning. They were filed due to Galgoci being involved in a reportable accident on SR54 on March 19 about 8:43 p.m. He was charged with driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed, careless driving and limitations on driving the left side of the road.Chief Sean Smith filed a traffic citation against Rose M. McFadden, 182 Cold Springs Drive, Jim Thorpe, on March 30 at about 2:20 p.m. Smith was dispatched to a vehicle accident on SR93 at the game lands. McFadden lost control of her vehicle and struck a tree. During his investigation Smith learned that McFadden's driver's license was expired. She was cited for drivers required to be licensed.Smith filed a traffic citation against Serge Jean Pierre, of Box 4341, Evergreen Hollow Rd., Saylorsburg R.4. Smith was patrolling south on SR93 when Pierre approached at a high rate of speed while northbound in a passing zone.Pierre began to lose control of his vehicle which slid back and forth in the snow. The Jeep Cherokee then flipped over and started on fire. Pierre was not injured. Smith cited him for driving a vehicle at an (un) safe speed.Officer Brian White issued the following citations on April 3, all on SR209 and SR93, for expired registration; speeding, 56 miles-per-hour in a 40 zone; and speeding 58 in a 40 zone.
