Tamaqua Middle School honors veterans

Tamaqua Area Middle School students were privileged to have a guest speaker on Veterans Day. SGT Gerald Schilling, assigned to the HRO-AGR branch at Fort Indiantown Gap and a Human Resources Assistant, presented pictures of his tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, shared information about his military experiences, and answered students' questions. Sixth grade teacher, Alli Morrison, who teaches SGT Schilling's son, Trevor, arranged the assembly. Schilling and his son Trevor are pictured in front of a "Wall of Heroes" created by the school's NJHS. Also in the picture are Kyle Weaver, Brooke Marton, Brianna Bittner, Nikole Klatka, Allie Dombrowski, and Mrs. Maura Streisel.
