Two Slatington residents are facing drug charges following a traffic stop that occurred on Saturday.

State police at Fogelsville said a traffic stop was made at 10:33 p.m. along Interstate 78 in South Whitehall Township. Upon contact with the two occupants, troopers detected the strong odor of fresh, raw marijuana coming from the vehicle. A small amount of marijuana and additional drug paraphernalia were found in the car.

Stephen Wright, 39, and Sarah Jean Wright, 32, were charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
