Shoplifters target Schuylkill store

A Schuylkill County store was the scene of three shoplifting incidents over a short period time.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said the BG’s Value Market, 70 Kings Village, Norwegian Township, had retail theft incidents on Oct. 14, 15 and 19.

On Oct. 14 at 8:18 p.m., a suspect took a tube of hydrocortisone cream out of its box and placed it into her pocket, then exited the store without paying for the item. The value was set at $3.39.

On Oct. 15 at 5:03 p.m., a suspect opened a bag of Hershey Kisses, ate some of the candies from the bag, then left the store without paying for the item. The value was set at $6.89.

On Oct. 19 at 9:02 a.m., a suspect ate a cream cheese bologna roll while shopping in the store, then exited without paying for the item. The value was set at $3.41.
