Brother, sister and 1 other jailed after domestic dispute

A Lansford man, his sister and another woman were arrested in the aftermath of a domestic incident that required a response by Summit Hill police on Sept. 30 between 3:18 and 4:38 p.m.

Police said David Argott, 41, of West Snyder Avenue, Lansford, was committed to the Carbon County Correctional Facility in Nesquehoning, after they were called to the disturbance on North Poplar Street.

He is being held on an active warrant against him for failure to appear in Schuylkill County Court, and is now additionally charged by Summit Hill police with providing false information to law enforcement authorities.

Police arrested both his sister, Victoria Ann Argott, 39, of North Poplar Street, and Suzanne Allen, 31, whose last known address is in Weston, Pennsylvania, with hindering apprehension and obstruction of law enforcement.

Victoria Argott is being held at the county jail while Allen was released on ROR bail.

Police said they were summoned to the residence for a report of a domestic dispute.

Upon arrival, police said they located David Argott and Allen, who appeared to be upset while sitting on the front porch of the residence, police said.

Police said they admitted having an argument with each other relating to Allen wanting to move out of state.

Police said David Argott entered the residence despite police advising him not to while the investigation was ongoing.

The officer told Allen to go inside and advise David Argott to return to the porch. She came back out of the residence and told the officer he was no longer in the home and claimed she did not know his whereabouts.

Police said Victoria Argott came to front door and said her brother was not in the house, and closed the door so the officer could not look inside the residence.

Police said they requested assistance of additional police.

David Argott was located inside the house and taken into custody.
