Martha Schoch, a resident of Heritage Hill in Weatherly, will celebrate her 90th birthday on Friday. She was born Sept. 21, 1922 in Bismark, North Dakota, the second youngest of six children.

She and her family moved to Hauto when she was 6 years old.After graduating from Nesquehoning High School in 1939, she moved to Orlando, Fla., and along with her sister Jenny, assisted the troops during the war effort at the Orlando Army base.During this time she met her husband, Jerry. She and Jerry resided in Florida after the war and raised their only daughter, Carol.Martha has always expressed her deepest love for her daughter Carol, until her untimely death in 1999.Even after the loss she showered her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with her love. Martha, or "Marv" as her grandchildren call her, has six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.She will be celebrating her special day with family and friends.
