Water report

The annual Jim Thorpe water report has been mailed to the residents of town. If you did not receive it and would like to, go to https://www.jtborough.org or visit the borough office.

Donations

The Reconstituted Willing Workers of St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will hold its annual yard and bake sale on June 9. If you would like to donate something, the group has begun accepting items at the church. Contact Mary and Tom Strohl about drop-off times. Baked goods may be dropped off at the church the day of the sale.

Farewell event

Plans are being made by the Home and School Association of St. Joseph’s Regional Academy for a farewell celebration for the school. It will take place from 1 to 6 p.m. June 16. All current students, alumni, current and former teachers and staff are welcome to attend. A Mass will be celebrated in the church at 4 p.m.

Clothing ministry

If you are in the process of cleaning out your clothes closet and don’t know what to do with some of your things, St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, will be glad to accept them starting on June 25. The church is currently planning its annual clothing drive and giveaway, which will be held in August. Items may be dropped off at the church during the week from June 25 until July 13. If you have any questions you may contact Mary Strohl or Bonnie Hoffman.
