Greater Lehigh writers

Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group (GLVWG) will hold its next meeting at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Palmer Branch of the Easton Area Public Library, 1 Weller Place, Palmer Township.

During the morning program, collage artist Vickie Dash will help writers "find the gap between words and ideas that lead us on an inner journey into the world of imagination. Dreams and active imagination can help transform that journey into something magical and powerful, leading us toward ever-expanding possibilities."During the afternoon workshop, Flight and Imagination, she will show attendees how collage can be a fun way to discover the empty space that contains all the infinite possibilities waiting in the wings of imagination. The class is designed to expand the senses and tap into the creative spaces and landscapes innate in everyone."There is no right or wrong way to do collage," Dash says. "Without judgment, come to know the invisible."After receiving a second kidney transplant, Dash began to experiment with creative expression and image making. What evolved was a series of collages, that have been exhibited in the Banana Factory, the Icehouse in Allentown, and The Nazareth Center for Arts. The morning program is free to the public. The afternoon workshop is free for members. A fee applies for nonmembers. Registration is required for the afternoon workshop, for more information or to register, go to
