A total of four defendants in pending driving under the influence cases entered guilty pleasJuly 21 in Carbon County court.

Judge Steven R. Serfass accepted pleas from the following:Zack Daniel Beddiges, 25, of Lehighton, was arrested on Oct. 20, 2015, along Blakeslee Boulevard Drive East by Lehighton police. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.Beddiges is currently in prison serving a term of 93 days to one year imposed on July 5 by Judge Joseph J. Matika for DUI and endangering the welfare of a child.Serfass sentenced him to serve 90 days to 60 months in prison, a fine of $2,500, license suspended for 18 months, zero tolerance for drug and alcohol use and render 100 hours of community service.The term runs concurrent with the July 5 sentence. He was granted work-release privileges.Travis J. Husar,28, of Jim Thorpe, was arrested on April 2 by Lehighton police in the 500 block of Mahoning Street. A test showed 0.23 BAC.Serfass sentenced her to serve five days to six months in jail, a fine of $300, one-year license suspension and render 25 hours of community service.He will begin the jail term at 9 a.m. July 29.Dustin R. Clewell, 29, of Nazareth, was arrested on Jan. 1 along Route 248 at Bowmanstown by state police at Lehighton.Sentencing was deferred so Clewell can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and apply for placement in the Intermediate Punishment Program - house arrest.Terence Lamar Moore, 29, of Lansford, was arrested on No. 26, 2015, along Maury Road in Penn Forest Township by state police at Lehighton. A test showed the presence of a controlled substance.He also pleaded to one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.Sentencing was deferred so Moore can obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation.Beddiges and Husar must also pay court costs of about $1,000 and a $50 per month supervision fee while on parole.DUI droppedKelly Lynn Cappello, 38, of Albrightsville, pleaded to a summary offense of drivers required to be licensed. She was arrested on Aug. 17, 2015, by state police at Lehighton along Route 209 in Lehighton. The district attorney's office dropped a DUI charge in a plea bargain.She was fined $200 and costs.
