The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announces the following road work this week, weather permitting.

Carbon County

Banks Township: Cigar Plant Road between Route 93 and Schuylkill County Line, lane restrictions with flaggers, Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bowmanstown: Route 895 between South Kittany Road and Route 248, lane restrictions with flaggers, Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Franklin Township: Maury Road between Long Run Road/Fairyland Road and Route 903, lane restrictions with flaggers, Thursday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Jim Thorpe: Center Avenue between Route 209 and Route 3012, lane restrictions with flaggers, Friday 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Kidder Township: Interstate 80 ramps at Exit 277 will be closed and detoured Wednesday-Aug. 30 for 24 hours each day. Motorists wishing to access I-80 West from the turnpike will be detoured on Route 940 West to Route 534 south to I-80 west; those wishing to access I-80 East from the turnpike will be detoured on Route 940 East to Route 115 south to I-80 east; those wishing to access the PA Turnpike from I-80 will be detoured at Exit 274 to Route 534 north to Route 940 east to the turnpike. Route 534 between Route 903 and Mecksville Road for bridge repair Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lehighton: Route 443 between Country Club Road and Ninth Street, lane restrictions with flaggers, Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lower Towamensing Township: Little Gap Road between Monroe county line and Hahns Dairy Road, lane restriction with flaggers Wednesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mahoning Township: Hemlock Drive between Route 902 and Route 209, lane restrictions with flaggers Monday-Wednesday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Mahoning Mountain Road between Route 443 and Berger Creek Road, lane restrictions with flaggers Thursday and Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Palmerton: Delaware Avenue between Third and Fourth streets, bridge repair Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m.-3 p.m.

Penn Forest Township: Route 534 between Route 903 and Monroe county line, sign work Tuesday-Thursday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Hatchery Road between Route 903 and Pohopoco Drive, lane restrictions with flaggers Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Lehigh County

Heidelberg Township: Mountain Road between Brown Street and Route 873, lane restrictions Wednesday from 7 a.m to 3 p.m.; Mountain Road between Interstate 476 and Route 873, flagging Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Washington Township: Route 873 between Route 309 and Mountain Road, lane restrictions with flagging, Monday and Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Whitehall Township: Route 22 between Route 145 and Route 987, lane restrictions both directions, Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
