Celtic rock band to perform at Penn’s Peak

Celtic rock band Gaelic Storm will perform at Penn’s Peak at 8 p.m. on March 5.

Known for its energetic live shows and blend of traditional Celtic music with rock influences, Gaelic Storm has spent more than two decades touring throughout the United States and internationally. The band first gained widespread attention after appearing in the 1997 film “Titanic,” performing “Irish Party in Third Class.”

Since forming in the mid-1990s as a pub band in Santa Monica, California, Gaelic Storm has released multiple albums, topped the Billboard World Music chart six times and become a regular headliner at Irish festivals and music events across the country.

The current lineup includes longtime members Patrick Murphy and Ryan Lacey, along with newer members Natalya Kay on fiddle and Parker Hastings on guitar.

“You have to see us live. We are the true working-man’s’ band,” says Lacey. “We still, and most likely always will, tour most of the year, and that’s how we constantly hone our craft.”

Tickets are on sale through Ticketmaster, the Penn’s Peak box office and Roadies Restaurant and Bar. Penn’s Peak and Roadies ticket sales are walk-up only.

Penn’s Peak is located at 325 Maury Road, Jim Thorpe.
