Tamaqua Area School Board approved the following items last week:

• Authorized the business manager to participate in the Pennsylvania Education Joint Purchasing Council’s bid process for the 2027-28 fiscal year and also the E-Rate Program for the 2027-28 funding year.

• A two-year agreement with the state Education Association Health and Welfare Fund for vision benefits effective Jan. 1, 2027, to Dec. 31, 2029, at the current rate of $7.09 per employee per month.

• Ratifying board member Bryan Miller as temporary secretary as of the Sept. 15 board meeting.

• Schuylkill County Land Bank acquiring parcel No. 65-13-162 at 21 Greenwood St., Tamaqua, in advance of the Oct. 29 judicial sale for the price of $100 plus cost of the filing and certification.

• Contract with the Schuylkill Intermediate Unit 21 for blended nursing services effective Oct. 5, at $77 an hour.
